AgencyAnalytics Alternatives: Honest Picks for Agencies

By Dolphin Analytics team · Published 5 Oct 2026 · Last checked 5 Oct 2026

TL;DR

The right AgencyAnalytics alternative depends on why you're leaving. DashThis suits agencies that want simple dashboards priced by count, Swydo suits PPC agencies with many clients on a few ad platforms, Whatagraph suits cross-channel data that needs transforming, Databox suits KPI tracking, and Data Studio with Supermetrics suits agencies that want control. If the numbers themselves are wrong, a new tool won't fix them: we fix the data underneath for agencies.

Olamide Sule, founder of Dolphin Analytics: a digital analytics expert based in London delivering solutions for agency and in-house clients.

Agencies come to us most weeks pulling their hair out with data challenges, and a good share of them start the conversation by asking which reporting tool to move to. Sometimes the tool really is the problem: the price climbs with every client you sign, or the dashboards look the same as everyone else’s. Often it isn’t. The connector is fine and the numbers feeding it are wrong. This guide covers both cases. It compares the AgencyAnalytics alternatives agencies shortlist, then shows when managed white-label analytics or our reporting service makes more sense than another subscription.

How we built this list: we picked the reporting tools agencies most often bring to us when they’re leaving AgencyAnalytics, and the ones we see inside client stacks. Pricing models were checked on 5 October 2026 against each vendor’s own pricing page; plans change, so confirm current rates before you buy. We describe how each tool charges rather than quoting prices that will date.

Why do agencies look for an AgencyAnalytics alternative?

Agencies leave AgencyAnalytics for three main reasons: cost that scales with the client book, paying for features their clients don’t use, and reports that don’t lead to decisions. The pricing model drives the first two. AgencyAnalytics bills per client, per month, on one core plan that includes data sources, reports, dashboards and staff accounts. Rank tracking and an AI tracker are sold as separate add-ons, and volume pricing applies once you manage a larger client book.

That model is generous for a client running six channels and heavy on rank tracking. It’s expensive for a client running two ad platforms and a GA4 property. Per-client billing also means your reporting cost rises with every new logo, whatever the size of the retainer behind it.

The third reason is the one no tool fixes. When we audit an agency’s reporting, the complaint “the reports don’t tell clients anything” usually traces to the data, not the dashboard: conversions nobody marked, revenue counted twice, ad platforms and GA4 crediting the same sale differently. A new tool renders those numbers just as faithfully.

How do the AgencyAnalytics alternatives compare?

Each row is one tool, how it charges, and where it fits. The entries below link each vendor’s own pricing page.

Verdict: if AgencyAnalytics’ per-client cost is the problem, DashThis or Swydo will usually be cheaper for a large book of simple clients. If the data itself is complex, Whatagraph or Data Studio with Supermetrics gives more control. If clients don’t trust the numbers, fix the tracking before you move anything.

The alternatives, one by one

The numbers follow the table; they are not a ranking.

1. DashThis: best for simple dashboards priced by count

DashThis prices by the number of dashboards, not by client, source or integration. Its pricing page says every plan includes all of its integrations, and white-labelled dashboards with your logo, colour theme and custom domain come on every tier.

That makes DashThis the closest like-for-like swap for an agency leaving AgencyAnalytics over cost. If each client gets one dashboard, the bill maps to your client count in a way you can predict at the start of the year. Where it narrows is custom data work: if you need to join a client’s CRM deals to ad spend, you’ll be doing that somewhere else first.

2. Swydo: best for PPC agencies with many clients on a few platforms

Swydo prices by data source: every account you connect to an integration counts as one data source, while clients, users, dashboards and reports are unlimited. White labelling, including custom domain hosting, is included.

For a PPC agency whose clients each run Google Ads and Meta Ads, that model is easy to forecast and often cheaper than paying per client. It turns against you when clients run many platforms each, because every platform on every client adds to the source count. Swydo’s strength is ad-platform reporting; it isn’t built to fix what those platforms report.

3. Whatagraph: best for cross-channel data that needs transforming

Whatagraph prices on credits, and its pricing FAQ says each source costs a credit, whatever the plan. Both plans list custom and pre-made transformations, so you can blend and reshape data inside the tool before it reaches a report, and both include white-label branding.

Whatagraph suits an agency with large, multi-channel clients where the reporting work is mostly data preparation. Its plans sit at the upper end of this list, so it rarely wins on cost against AgencyAnalytics for a book of small clients. Check the plan table for features such as a BigQuery transfer, which the pricing page lists as an add-on on the entry plan.

4. Databox: best for KPI goals and scorecards

Databox prices by data sources, users and AI credits, and it has a free plan for individuals tracking a handful of metrics. Its Agency plan adds unlimited users, custom templates and cross-client reporting. White labelling is a paid add-on, and so is its goals and OKR feature.

Databox works well when the client conversation is about targets: are we on pace for this month’s leads, which KPI slipped. It’s less of a like-for-like swap for agencies whose clients expect a branded monthly report, because the white-label piece costs extra on top of the plan.

5. Data Studio with Supermetrics: best for agencies that want control

Google’s own documentation now says Looker Studio is called Data Studio, and describes it as a no-cost tool for dashboards and reports, with Data Studio Pro adding enterprise collaboration and administration features. Data from outside Google usually comes in through a connector: Supermetrics prices by data sources, accounts and destinations, and lists Looker Studio and Google Sheets among them.

This is the route for an agency that wants full control of layout, logic and branding, and has someone who enjoys building templates. The licence cost is low. The hidden cost is time: every client template, broken connector and quota error lands on your team. Our guide to building a marketing dashboard in Looker Studio covers the build, and our post on Looker Studio GA4 quota errors covers the most common way it breaks at agency scale.

Which AgencyAnalytics alternative should you switch to?

Match the tool to the reason you’re leaving. If you can’t name the reason in one sentence, you’re not ready to switch.

Why you’re leavingSwitch to

Clients don’t trust the numbersNone yet: fix the tracking first

Whichever you pick, run the old and new tools side by side for one reporting cycle. If the totals disagree, find out why before the client does.

When should you stop buying reporting tools?

Stop buying reporting tools when the tool isn’t the bottleneck. In our experience that happens in two situations: the agency has no one who owns reporting, so every tool gets set up once and then drifts, or the client has stopped trusting the numbers, so the report is a debate rather than a decision.

In both cases another subscription moves the problem to a new login. What fixes it is someone owning the data end to end: the tracking, the connectors and the report itself. Some agencies hire for that. Others bring in a partner, and that’s how much of our agency work runs.

Agencies white-label us as their analytics arm.

We build the reporting, check it against the source platforms, and deliver it under the agency’s brand, so the client sees the agency’s report and the agency keeps the relationship. Our post on why agencies rebuild the same client report every month covers what goes into a report clients act on, and our marketing reporting automation guide covers how the build runs.

Where tracking breaks under any reporting tool

Every tool on this list reports what the connected platforms send it. When we review agency reporting, these are the faults we find most often, and none of them change when you switch tools.

  • GA4 key events nobody marked. GA4 only surfaces an action as a result once you mark it as a key event. A reporting tool pulling key events will show nothing for a lead form that was never marked, and the client reads that as a channel failing.
  • Purchases counted twice. A purchase tag that fires twice makes every revenue chart look better than the shop’s own records. Our walkthrough of GA4 duplicate purchase events shows how to find it.
  • Google Ads and GA4 disagreeing on conversions. Google Ads records conversions inside a conversion window after an ad click or video view, while GA4 credits key events with its own attribution model and lookback window. Put both totals on one dashboard and they rarely match.
  • Meta numbers that move with the connector settings. Supermetrics’ guide to Facebook Ads attribution settings says conversion results won’t line up with Facebook’s own reporting unless the query uses the same attribution setting. Our post on why Meta Ads over-report conversions shows how to check a platform’s claim against real orders.
  • Consent settings that block tags silently. In Google Tag Manager, a tag can be held back until every consent type you specify is granted, through its consent settings. If the banner never sends that signal, the tag never fires, and the gap shows up in the report as lost traffic.

To see which tags, pixels and consent setup a client’s site runs, as a visitor’s browser sees them, run our free Sonar scan: one click, no account access and nothing to install.

Still need a hand with the data underneath?

We set up, check and run reporting for agencies, from the GA4 and Tag Manager tracking up to the branded report the client opens. Every report is checked against the source platforms before it goes out, and the time it takes to produce changes what an agency can offer.

Monthly client reports that took 4 to 6 hours each by hand now generate, validated, in under 5 minutes.

If you’re weighing up an AgencyAnalytics alternative and aren’t sure whether the tool or the data is the problem, that’s a good conversation to have before you migrate. Frequently asked

What is the best alternative to AgencyAnalytics?

It depends on what's pushing you out. DashThis is the closest like-for-like swap if you want simple white-label dashboards and pricing by the number of dashboards. Swydo fits PPC agencies whose clients run on a few ad platforms, because it prices by connected data source. Whatagraph fits agencies that need to blend and transform data from many sources. Databox fits KPI and goal tracking, and Data Studio with Supermetrics fits agencies that want to own the build.

How does AgencyAnalytics pricing work?

AgencyAnalytics bills per client, per month, on one core plan that includes data sources, reports, dashboards and staff accounts. Rank tracking and its AI tracker sit outside that plan as paid add-ons, and volume pricing applies once you manage a larger client book. Check its pricing page for current rates before you compare.

Is Looker Studio a good free alternative to AgencyAnalytics?

For many agencies, yes. Looker Studio is now called Data Studio, and Google describes it as a no-cost tool for dashboards and reports. The catch is the data coming from outside Google: Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok numbers usually arrive through a paid connector such as Supermetrics, and someone in the agency has to build and maintain the templates.

Will switching reporting tools fix numbers that don't match?

No. A reporting tool shows whatever the connected platforms send it. If GA4 counts a purchase twice, or Google Ads and GA4 credit conversions under different windows, every reporting tool on this list will show the same mismatch. Fix the tracking first, then choose the tool.

Should an agency build reporting in-house or outsource it?

Build in-house if you have someone who enjoys maintaining connectors, templates and tracking, and the time to keep doing it. Outsource it when reporting keeps pulling account managers off client work, or when clients question the numbers. That second case is the work we do: agencies white-label us as their analytics arm, so the reporting and the tracking under it go out under their brand.
