Dolphin Analytics started with a website Olam couldn't properly read. He'd built his first site and was running his first Facebook ads completely blind: money haemorrhaging on wasted spend, no idea what was working. Then he figured out analytics, and suddenly he could see everything. He cut the wasted spend in half, doubled down on what worked, and never ran anything blind again.

That experience became a career. Over a decade of analytics later, much of it spent agency-side, Olam had seen the same story from every angle: smart marketing teams making expensive decisions on numbers nobody fully trusted. It's why digital agencies and in-house marketing teams became the niche. He'd sat where they sit.

The work since spans 50+ agencies and brands across the UK, Europe and US, from global names to specialist shops. Different clients, same three problems every time: tracking nobody trusts, reporting that eats the week, and data that never quite becomes an answer.

Today Dolphin Analytics is a globally distributed team of data analysts, data scientists and data engineers, run from London. Engagements are founder-led and the team scales behind them: you plug in all three skill sets at once instead of hiring them one slow round at a time. AI does the heavy lifting, and a human is accountable for every deliverable.

Years of doing the work by hand taught the team exactly what needed automating. So they built the tools that do it: Sonar, the free tracking scan, and Surface, the analytics platform.
