A London analytics agency that proves every number

Dolphin Analytics is a web analytics agency for agencies and in-house marketing teams, based in London and working across the UK, Europe and the US. We set up and fix GA4 and Google Tag Manager, sort out Consent Mode, and reconcile what your analytics says against your store, your CRM and your ad platforms. Every fix is proved against source data before we call it done, and you keep the access, the documentation and the setup at the end.

Does this sound familiar?

The same data problems come up for almost every marketing team we meet, agency-side or in-house. They usually sound like this.

“We don't know if our tracking is right”

GA4 says one thing, Meta Ads says another and Shopify says a third. Nobody can explain the gaps, so nobody fully trusts any of the numbers.

“We can't prove ROI”

The board wants to know what marketing returned. The dashboards claim plenty, the bank account says less, and there's no defensible number in between.

“We can't find or hire the analytics staff”

Analysts, data scientists and data engineers are slow to hire and expensive to keep, and one hire rarely covers all three skill sets.

If any of these sound like your week, talk to us: send a message, or book a call straight away.

What we actually do

The concrete work behind the pillar, in plain terms.

GA4 set-up, audits and fixes

We build clean GA4 properties, clean up rushed migrations and fix what's broken. Key events, Consent Mode and the ad platform links get tested before we call it done.

Google Tag Manager and Consent Mode

We clean up and document Tag Manager containers so anyone can see what fires and why. Consent Mode is configured to meet UK GDPR without quietly dropping traffic.

Numbers checked against the source

We reconcile GA4 against your store, your CRM and your ad platforms until the numbers agree. Where they don't, we show you exactly where the gap is.

Ongoing cover instead of a hire

Someone who already knows the setup is there when your site or campaigns change. Every change is documented, so nothing depends on one person's memory.

Where London teams get stuck

The call usually comes after someone has stopped trusting the numbers. A London ecommerce brand sees GA4 disagree with Shopify. An agency has client accounts where the ad platform claims sales the store never recorded. A B2B team can't say which campaigns turn into deals.

Most of it traces back to a handful of causes. A GA4 migration was rushed and never cleaned up. Consent Mode was set up wrong, or skipped. A Tag Manager container has sat untouched since the person who built it left. A checkout or platform change quietly broke the tracking, and nothing flagged it.

Hiring is often the other half of the problem. Analytics people are hard to find and slow to hire, and the one who understands the setup can leave at any time. We set up, audit and fix GA4 and Tag Manager for agency and in-house clients most weeks, so we know which order to check things in.

How the work runs

We start with access. Read-only access to GA4 and Google Tag Manager is enough for the diagnosis, with editor rights only once fixes are approved. We also need read-only access to the ad platforms, and a view of the store or CRM you want the numbers to match.

Then we check the setup against what actually happens. Every event, trigger and variable gets tested against what fires on the live site. GA4 gets reconciled against a source of truth, such as Shopify orders or CRM deals. That diagnosis is our paid audit, scoped and quoted before it starts.

You get a written findings report that names each fault, what it's costing you, and what fixing it involves. If you want us to fix it, we work in your own accounts and prove each change against live data. At the end you own everything: the access, the containers and the documentation.

Proof from the work

Booking numbers can look healthy right up until someone traces them. Here's what we found. Working through a marketing agency, across a 16-hotel group we found duplicate purchase events inflating booking counts, plus untagged booking subdomains and a failing tag container. It gave them their first accurate property-level view of direct bookings.

Sometimes the question is where deals really come from. Here's what the attribution work showed. For a private aviation company, 88.6% of contacts with deals had no web attribution at all: 443 of 500 were offline or CRM-entered. Attribution work then traced a $767,500 charter enquiry back to a single organic search visit.

When a platform change breaks tracking, speed matters. Here's one example. Restored accurate conversion tracking within 48 hours after a Shopify Checkout Extensibility upgrade broke it, avoiding an estimated $1.5M in wasted ad spend and mis-optimised Google Ads. And here's the reach behind it. Partnered with 20+ agencies across the UK, Europe and the US.

What it costs

We scope and quote every property before any work starts. That holds for a fresh GA4 setup, a migration clean-up or a fix to something already broken. Nothing is priced until we know what we're looking at.

Three things drive the quote: how many properties are involved, how much needs fixing, and whether you want a one-off fix or ongoing cover. A single clean property is a different job from six properties with three consent setups between them.

We don't publish a rate card. Every quote says what's included, what you get back and when. There's no open-ended day rate running against you.

Who we work with

Agencies white-label us as their analytics arm. We work inside each client's GA4 and Tag Manager under your brand, and you get the written record to show the client. That turns a tracking problem you were absorbing into work you can bill for.

In-house teams use us directly. Usually paid media is spending against conversions nobody fully trusts, or the one person who understood the setup has moved on. We fix the setup, explain it in plain words and leave your team able to run it.

London is our base, and we work the same way with teams across the UK, Europe and the US. Most of the work happens inside your accounts, so where you sit makes no difference to how fast it moves.

Talk to us first

Tell us what's going wrong in a message, or book a call straight away. Either way you hear from a person. A message gets a considered view of what's probably broken and what fixing it would involve within one working day. No sales script, and no obligation to go further.

Sonar is the other way in. Run your site through it if you want evidence before we talk. It scans from the outside, the way a visitor's browser sees the page, and reports the tags, pixels and consent setup it can prove are running. Bring the result to the conversation and we'll take it from there.

In their words

What the teams we work with say

Agencies and in-house teams we plug into as their analytics bench, on what it's like to have us on the team.

Partnering with Dolphin Analytics resonates with us because it gives us extra capacity with heavily fluctuating demand in this current climate around new tracking implementation technologies. It's the offering of dealing with experts with a no-fuss approach. They're so valuable, solving our biggest pain points by providing on-demand expertise. In any agency setting there is always a lack of capacity for niche skilled expertise, and Dolphin Analytics provides that.
Alan Ng Chief Innovation Officer Marketing agency, 150 people
Working with Dolphin Analytics has been a pleasure. Olam and his team were brought on to help us work through client issues outside our usual area of operations. Their team worked seamlessly alongside our team for our clients. They led the project, identifying the solution swiftly, before developing the fix and completing the jobs rapidly. Dolphin Analytics' communication was great throughout, keeping my team updated. This is the beginning of a fruitful business relationship between both businesses.
Spencer Montagu Marketing Director B2B marketing agency, 20 people
Olam and his team joined us when our product analytics was still in its infancy. Within weeks they'd resolved a host of issues with our Heap events and reports, giving us a much clearer picture of how customers used the platform. They then helped our product and UX team embed a framework for experimentation, so we could validate ideas and deliver value far more quickly: a real step change in how we build products. Olam is a genuine people person, and his collaborative approach was hugely appreciated. I extended the engagement numerous times and am hugely grateful for the change he helped enact.
Jack Levy Head of Product In-house product team
Data can be complex and, more often, it is made unnecessarily so by the people within it. However, Dolphin Analytics' skill is in understanding what's possible, what's necessary, and making that easily understood and implemented. It's rare to have such consistently good and reliable data expertise, but Dolphin Analytics always delivers.
Dino Myers-Lamptey Managing Director Marketing agency, 500 people
Dolphin Analytics joined our team and quickly became a valuable asset that we wanted to extend onto other projects. They are able to think critically, stay solutions-oriented, and know how to work with others, bringing their expertise and point of view on data and analytics. Beyond the technical skill across various analytics tools, they have broad experience with different types of analysis, which makes them able to step up to different challenges.
Payam Cherchian Data & Analytics Director Web & design agency, 40 people
We turned to Dolphin Analytics when we had a data project we needed specialist input on. The team took time to understand our challenges, ambition and the nuances of our business to propose a bespoke solution. They broke down complex processes in a way we could communicate across our teams and clients to build into our roadmap.

Frequently asked questions

Are you based in London?

Yes. London is our base, and we work remote-first. Most of the work happens inside your GA4 and Tag Manager accounts, so calls and shared screens do the job. We work with teams across the UK, Europe and the US the same way.

What does a web analytics agency do for a London business?

We set up and fix GA4 and Google Tag Manager, configure Consent Mode so it meets UK GDPR without dropping more data than it has to, and check your numbers against your store, CRM and ad platforms. When GA4 and the ad platform disagree, we find out why. We set up, audit and fix GA4 and Tag Manager for agency and in-house clients most weeks.

Do you work with London agencies as well as brands?

Yes. Agencies white-label us as their analytics arm, working inside each client's GA4 and Tag Manager under your brand. In-house teams come to us directly. The people and the method are the same either way.

How much does an analytics agency in London cost?

We scope and quote every property before any work starts. The quote depends on how many properties and containers are involved, how much needs fixing, and whether you want a one-off fix or ongoing cover. We don't publish a rate card, because the same fault can be a day's work on one site and a week on another.

Can you cover Google Analytics and the rest of our tracking together?

Yes. GA4 is usually where the problem shows, but the cause often sits in Tag Manager, the consent banner, the checkout or the ad platform connections. We work across all of it, so you're not passing the problem between three suppliers.

What do you need from us to start?

Read-only access to GA4 and Google Tag Manager is enough for the diagnosis. Editor access comes later, once you approve fixes. We also need read-only access to the ad platforms and the store or CRM you want reconciled. We give you the timeline with the quote.

Can we hire you instead of an in-house analytics person?

Many teams do. Analytics hires are hard to find and slow to land, and one person leaving can take the whole setup with them. We cover the work as documented, ongoing support, so nothing depends on memory and your team can see exactly what changed.
